Anthura cycling challenge 2024
On the 6th of July 2024, 40 participants accepted the challenge to cycle from Anthura Arndt to Anthura Bleiswijk! Read the experience of participant and colleague Roy.
"The day began with a bus ride from Bleiswijk to Anthura Arndt, where 40 eager participants fuelled up on coffee and sandwiches. Laura and Jos drove ahead of the pack, setting up refreshment stops along the route. To keep everyone’s spirits up, a speaker on their car belted out Tour de France-style motivational tunes, and our trusty breakdown team, Marco and Steven, drove the broom wagon to provide assistance if required. Almost everyone completed the challenge, despite two punctures (yours truly being the unlucky cyclist!), a headwind that made it feel like cycling through treacle and quite a few weary legs. We had a much-needed break along the way and were treated to a delicious lunch. The laughter and friendly chatter we shared with clients and coworkers during the ride made it all worthwhile. We were welcomed at the finish line by cheering colleagues and family before tucking into a well-deserved barbeque buffet to round off an incredible day.".
